Today, the ancient practice of moon-time gatherings have disappeared from most cultures around the world, but the contemporary Moon Lodge can still be a profoundly healing and uplifting experience for the modern woman. Sitting in circle together in the big tipi, we create a welcoming space for the experience of our laughter, tears, joy and grief to be shared. In the shamanic cultures of Native America and old Europe, such a council of women was considered necessary for maintaining the health of all the people, not just for the women themselves.
The teachings, ceremonies and songs of the Moon Lodge will show us how to create and hold sacred space - a spiritual, psychological and physical place, with an attitude of love, support and gratitude. When we settle into that place, and we begin to speak and listen to others from the heart, we gain new insight and understanding into our own path and life choices. We also get the opportunity to expand our spiritual awareness and embody the
collective wisdom of the group. What we learn from each other then becomes a precious gift, a blessing, available not only to benefit ourselves, but one that works through us for the well being of our families and communities.
For women over the age of 18. Minimum 8, max. 20 places for each gathering.
No previous experience of circle gatherings necessary. You can come any one or more of

INTRODUCTION TO SHAMANISM: THE MEDICINE WHEEL AND THE SHAMANIC JOURNEY - VISIONS OF A SACRED PATH.......
This workshop introduces two Native North American based teachings: The Medicine Wheel of North, South, East and West - ways of mapping our inner territory, and the Shamanic Journey, an experience of intuitive healing and self-awareness. For the shamanic journey we use a drum, or ‘the shaman’s horse,’ to be carried to non-ordinary reality, the world of spiritual energy. Here you will have the opportunity to meet with your power animals, or animal spirit guides.
These teachings come from people who lived and thrived in harmonious physical and spiritual relationship with the earth. Although the teachings are spiritual, they are also practical, relating to your everyday life and current circumstances.
Contemporary shamanism encourages us to become true ‘children of the earth’, to develop our own authority, ready to take responsibility for creating a better future. When we realize no one else is going to do it for us - not our governments, the money markets, the scientific community, the media, or organized religions, we can learn from the wisdom teachings how to create the purpose and energy of self respect. Shamanism is about connecting and communicating - trusting the truth and beauty within you, and connecting consciously to the divinely created Earth, without guilt, judgment or expectation. The shamanic journey and the sacred medicine wheel are tools from an ancient world that allow you to once again see and experience your own natural inner power, which is your birthright. When we are aware of our natural and sacred place on earth, we can begin to experience and understand who we really are, and who we may become........
For people over the age of 18. Minimum 8, max.15 places.

“Although I have an interest in Native American culture, it is not extensive and the role of the shaman is still quite new to me. I was pleasantly surprised when I met Wendy, who
came over as very friendly, and proved to be a very competent teacher. She has a great
feeling and energy, her enthusiasm is infectious, and her simple way of teaching made the
subject of Shamanism feel a very natural and obvious way of life. I have thought a lot
about the things she said since the weekend and that is always a sign for me of a good
workshop.”
Debbie Blakeley (UK)
“..... I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the three realms .... this bought a great deal more
not only to meditation but my whole visualization ....... The point of ‘purpose’ is refreshing before doing a ‘meditation’, again it focuses the mind.
I liked the boat trip (spirit boat guided visualization), it was a good way of bringing a group together. I would enjoy further workshops opening up different areas of shamanic practice in greater detail. Definitely want another boat trip.
Thank you Wendy.
